He described his job as being that of tearing down the old to replace the new. He is the personification of warfare, bombing, and general destruction. When using his abilities, everything in his part is laid waste. Notes: Destruction, although he appears formidible, is actually a gentle soul. Sick of the damage he has caused, Destruction has abandoned his realm, taking his sigil with him (It appears in his own gallery. No other Endless has their own sigil in their gallery. Perhaps that is why his place is empty in all of the other galleries.). As such, no other aspect of Destruction could assume his role and become one of the Endless. He spent two hundred years wandering the earth, and finally settled near the island Orpheus lived on, perhaps because he knew Dream would be unlikely to go there. He has spent his time there creating works of art (although his dog would disagree). Dream and Delirium found him, and he left this reality. Destruction believes each of the endless defines his or her opposite. Destiny/Freedom. Death/Life. Desire/Hatred (That's for sure). Despair/Hope. Delirium/Sanity (Delight/Sadness). Destruction/Creation. When Dream asked what he defined, Destruction replied, "Reality, perhaps." If so, what the Seige of the Kindly Ones will mean is unknown.
