She can control the emotions of humans and animals (she once made butterflies fly into candles). As such, she can manipulate people to the degree that they will do almost anything. This is far more powerful than Dominate. The subject actually does want whatever she wills them to, instead of just believing they want it. Desire's appearance changes more than any of her/his siblings, and she constantly changes sex (she's not satisfied with anything). Desire is a dark spirit. Everything he/she does is for a purpose, even if it only serves to amuse her/him. She/he is cruel and darkspirited. Desire never forgets a slight, and often is insulted to easily. Nothing makes Desire angrier than to not get her way. Once, over something as simple as telling her/him he/she was not subtle, she/he swore to make Dream spill family blood, which would possibly result in his destruction. A harse reaction for saying she/he isn't subtle. She/he is never satisfied with anything, excepting the Threshold, the huge statue of Desire that fills it's realm. The eye was descibed as being larger than a cathedral.
